4 .Structure and Composition

The ABB TC520 thermocouple temperature input module adopts an integrated standard rack card industrial structure, which is composed of multi-channel thermocouple signal input terminals, cold junction compensation sensing unit, signal amplification and conversion circuit, digital data processing chip, multi-layer EMI shielding layer and flame-retardant card frame housing.

Each thermocouple input channel is equipped with an independent signal isolation circuit to avoid signal crosstalk between different temperature measuring points. The built-in cold junction compensation sensor detects the internal temperature of the cabinet in real time to automatically offset the temperature measurement error of the thermocouple. After the weak thermal potential signal is amplified and converted into a digital signal by the internal circuit, the standardized temperature data is transmitted to the DCS main control unit through the backplane bus of the cabinet. The flame-retardant sealed card frame prevents dust and moisture from eroding internal precision circuits and prolongs the service life of the module.
